A "Less is More" Approach to Clean, Modern Design
Maple Lane Apartments

Overview
Maple Lane Apartments is a response to the continued need for more market-rate housing in Clackamas County. The apartments are arranged in repeated 5-story buildings to provide increased vertical density to the site, facilitate streamlined construction, and leave the natural resource wetland boundary to the south of the site undisturbed. The massing and design of the development stems from the stylistic idea of creating a Scandinavian and Nordic themed apartment community. Several key characteristics emphasize clean, modern design with a “less is more” approach for both the shared amenities and personal apartment homes prioritizing: ample daylighting, strong and clean lines with simple accents, access to the outdoors, comfort year round, wood accents and textural qualities, functionality without sacrificing beauty.

The stand-alone Clubhouse follows the same design characteristics in a sleek one story space. Numerous resident amenities introduced include: pool & spa, private showers, fitness center, conference room, event space with warming kitchen, indoor gas fireplace, outdoor fireplace, and outdoor covered patio with BBQ and TV. Multiple activity paths traverse the site connecting to adjacent streets and public transit. Public greenspace and landscaping provide ample space for residents and buffers the site from the neighboring streets.
Once completed, the 5-story apartment buildings will be one of the most dense and vertically tall buildings in the City, inspiring a new standard of density and living opportunities.
