LSW Architects had the honor of collaborating with Ginn Group and our counterparts at Riff Creative on the branding and design for The Farmstead (previously the home of Joe’s Place Farms).
This project is about more than building houses. The site for Joe’s Place Farms has been the love of Joe’s life and his home. He had shared it for decades every season to connect the community with the land, enriching many lives. Our vision for this project is to expand on its legacy. The Farmstead’s mission is to continue a story by translating its emotional core through design.
This new, multi-use housing and community development site is about translating a timeless family legacy into a housing community that will meet the needs of people today and tomorrow. The Farmstead includes 32 townhomes and 144 garden-style apartments thoughtfully spread across eight acres in the Landover-Sharmel neighborhood of Vancouver, Washington. Community amenities will include a communal clubhouse with a fitness center, an outdoor dog park, and various pet-friendly amenities that will also include a dog washing station. The layout includes open space to encourage neighbors to connect and maintain its inclusion of nature.
The community is set to open November, 2025.
