LSW Hosts Inaugural Internal Awards
June 09, 2022 by LSW Admin
Last night, LSW hosted its inaugural Internal Design and People Awards Ceremony at the iconic Kiggins Theatre in Downtown Vancouver. Team members gathered for a fancy, fun and energizing evening that put the spotlight on our teams, projects and individuals.
Part ceremony, part celebration, the goal of these awards is to foster growth, show gratitude and celebrate the people and values that make LSW a firm that we’re proud to represent. It’s also a platform to recognize the work our teams have done and some of the achievements of individuals. Since this was our "pandemic" edition, projects edible for award nomination needed to have achieved substantial completion between Jan 2020 and December 2021.
“This is another step in our pursuit of excellence at LSW,” said Brent Young during the event’s opening. “We are always working towards clarity in how we evaluate our work and to recognize individuals who are exemplary reflections of our values. And so, it makes sense to take a moment to look back and celebrate our wins as a firm.”
The LSW Internal Awards were divided into two categories: People and Design. The former honors individuals who are creating a more unified, welcoming, empowered environment that helps everyone raise the bar. The latter is about recognizing projects that represent our best values and efforts in a designed space.
"This is about reinforcing our Design Philosophy and celebrating work that exemplifies its tenets,” said LSW President, Esther Liu.
Without any further ado, the recipients in each category are:
Leadership Award: Recognizing LSW leaders who effectively unify, support, and empower their teams to achieve excellence.
2022 Winner: Stefani Randall
Growth Award: Recognizing noteworthy individual professional growth through sustained, conscientious efforts.
