Grace Church

  • LOCATION: Camas, WA
  • COMPLETED: 2013

Grace Church solicited the assistance of LSW Architects for the design and construction of a 4,600 sq ft main entry and classroom wing addition to their church in Camas, Washington.  The new spaces aid in reducing congestion, improving circulation, and providing additional areas for fellowship and teaching.

At the entry, a new vestibule was constructed and the existing lobby was reconfigured, providing extra gathering space for before and after services and improving circulation around the sanctuary.  The addition also created an easily-identifiable main entry with full-height glazing, a pedestrian plaza, and a drop-off area for cars.

Part of the lobby work also improved circulation to the classroom wing where four new classrooms, a renovated administrative area, and restrooms adjoin the existing classroom facilities.  Used by elementary school students, some of the classrooms feature painted graphics on the walls, creating fun learning spaces for the students.
