Reconnecting historic downtown Vancouver to its long-vacant and separated waterfront, RiverWest represents the unification of past and present, helping define a radically new experience along the Columbia River and activating a new urban district.
RiverWest, known as Block 8 of the 32-acre Waterfront Urban Masterplan, is an entire block of mixed-use apartment/retail space located in the heart of the emerging development. Concurrent with the park, pier, and other first phase projects, it is setting precedents in terms of design quality and materiality, urban engagement, city design review processes, and impact in the creation of a newly built environment.
Along with the Waterfront’s commitment to sustainable community and innovation, RiverWest is targeted to be certified Platinum, under LEED™ BD+C v3; a first in Vancouver for the Multifamily Midrise certification.
